I've had the pleasure of being tagged for the "Next Big Thing Tour" by Laurel Bradley:

What is the title of your next book?

Magic of the Pentacle

Where did the idea come from for the book?

Once I chose the magical icon of the pentacle for my magician hero, ideas for the plot came from the history of the pentacle during medieval times. It was interesting to see the powers attributed to this shape/icon.

What genre does your book fall under?

Paranormal romance

Which actors would you choose to play your characters in a movie rendition?

Hugh Jackman would be a terrific Richard Blackstone. I'm not sure who would be good for Juliana.

What is the one-sentence synopsis of your book?

Magician Richard Blackstone's playboy lifestyle suited him for hundreds of years…until he meets Juliana. Now he must face the truth of his past and fulfill the five virtues of a knight of the Order of the Garter or risk losing Juliana for good.

Will your book be self-published or represented by an agency?

I'm not sure, the book has not been contracted yet. It is still under consideration by one major publisher.

How long did it take you to write the first draft of your manuscript?

It took me over a year to write the first draft.

Who or What inspired you to write this book?

I enjoyed the Harry Potter series and thought it might be nice to have stories of magic for adults. Of course, romance is my specialty, so it had to involve a budding relationship between my hero magician and a skeptical psychiatrist.

What else about your book might pique the reader interest?

I entered this book in the 2012 Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award and it advanced through two rounds of judging that narrowed the field from 5,000 entries to 250 semi-finalists before it was bumped out. I was thrilled to make it that far!
